Let's be real here. Almost ALL of us go through life hoping we never have to call the police. You had a break in, someone stole your car, or even an accident you may have got in. I get it, emergencies are real and sometimes you'll need to call when you really need help.
But what if I told you some people dial 911 for reasons that are… let’s just say, not exactly what dispatch was expecting?
From tripping on shrooms to being haunted by a suspiciously aggressive squirrel, here are some of the weirdest real-life reasons people have called the police.
A group of guys in New York State were tripping on mushrooms when they peaked, they thought that one of their friends had died. Full-on panic ensued. They called the police, reported a death, and waited for help.
Spoiler alert: the guy wasn’t dead. He was just… vibing.
Can you imagine that 911 call?
“Uh, yes, we’re all on psychedelics and we think Steve’s gone to the light.”
Meanwhile, Steve’s in the corner humming to Liberty Mutual commercials. Sometimes stuff gets weird. STAY OUT OF THE WOODS!
How about a haunted washing machine? Would you call the cops for that? This guy did.
He heard loud, disturbing banging noises coming from his laundry room and assumed someone was trapped inside. He called 911 and ran outside until officers arrived with guns drawn.
After investigating, they found the suspect: a very off-balance washing machine in spin cycle. No intruder. Just a load of towels.
So why did you call the police? Everyone has a story and even if they're not as good as these 2.....You bet your sweet A$$ I want to hear them!!
