76% of Americans use cellphones or other devices at least sometimes while watching television or movies at home. With middle aged Americans aged 45-64 show the highest usage rates.That's A LOT!
Americans spend at least five hours daily looking at screens, with 10% exceeding 12 hours. My wife is guilty of this, I even am. Making videos, she's watching TikTok while watching shows together. It's a mess sometimes.
Most Americans check phones while watching TV at home and eating alone, with 48% doing so during meals with others. Only 8% could comfortably go without their phone for an hour or less.
I solved this problem in pick up line by watching shows on my phone while waiting for my kid. Keeps me from death scrolling.
